280hp 13BT

I am going to put a 13BT in a first gen. My goal is around 280hp give or take. While I am very familiar with N/A rotaries I have never worked with Turbo.

My question is what is the most reliable way to get this kind of power out of a 13BT? I am using a 90 T2 motor with low milage. I haven't decided if im going to rebuild it or not. Porting is an option and I may use 3 mm Apex seals if i do rebuild. I will have to build a custom exhaust. what size pipe? Muffler? I don't have to worry about emissions. I am looking for reliability above all. Any sugestions are apreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

if your motor have low milage, I dissuade porting.
1- down pipe
2- kat off
3-bigger intercooler

Look at the Sticky thread on top.

TII into GSL-SE, etc..

Everything should be there.

If its a low mileage 4 port T2, just leave it alone slap a hybrid turbo (cost effective) and some 3" exhaust. a nice ECU, some better seconadaries inj's, a nice boost controller (keeping boost around 12 or so) and you will have way more than 280, id say around 375 fwhp

A friend of mine is making about that much power (series 5) and he pretty much just has cold-air intake, downpipe, high-flow cat, some kind of ecxhaust (it's pretty quiet) and a Walbro pump and S-AFC.
