I am going to put a 13BT in a first gen. My goal is around 280hp give or take. While I am very familiar with N/A rotaries I have never worked with Turbo.

My question is what is the most reliable way to get this kind of power out of a 13BT? I am using a 90 T2 motor with low milage. I haven't decided if im going to rebuild it or not. Porting is an option and I may use 3 mm Apex seals if i do rebuild. I will have to build a custom exhaust. what size pipe? Muffler? I don't have to worry about emissions. I am looking for reliability above all. Any sugestions are apreciated.

It won't take much to get 80 extra horses from that motor. A full exhaust and cone filter can get you roughly 65. You'll need to upgrade your fuel pump and possibly your secondary injectors just to be safe. If you get a manual boost controller and a fuel controller you should be able to get 280 safe, reliable horsepower.
