Angry 2 major problems help with info

Everynow and then i just want to sell this damn car and forget about it!

So my windshield is loose, definietly loose. When i have my bass turned on (not too high) my windshield rattles. I pushed from the inside outward and its defintiely loose along the top passenger side and all along the passenger far side.

Anyone ever had to repair this and does anyone know how much will cost?

number 2] I get exhaust smell bad in my car. So i searched and ppl said to remove taillight and re-seal them so i did and problem persists. Is there anything else i can do or look, or has anyone else come up with a good solution?

Thanks in Advan

if you dont like the smell of exaust rx7s, first gens especially, are not for you.
i imagine having your front window professionally resealed is a less than $100 job.

Youd have to remove the trim, and the clips as most will break. The windsheild is sealed with a special sealant (like an adhesive sealant). I have no experience or idea what it would cost but I'd imagine not that much since your not buying a new winsheild. If your handy you could try it yourself, just dont break the windsheild.

As for the smell. Fix any exhaust leaks and check that rear hatch seal as it will also allow fumes into the cockpit.

resjsu,

Hidden rust can definately exist (often first) at the bottom (of old cars) around the windshield allowing it to work loose. Before resealing, it may need a little rust work.

If you've already checked for the obvious exhaust leaks, another possibility is the rear hatch molding. How's the rubber? Dry and cracked or do you have a good seal all around?

Yeah the rear hatch rubber is like-new condition absolutely no chipping or dryness.

Damn i was hoping someone had re-sealed their window and might have some pics or tips because im guessing it is an indepth procedure.
