i like the mazdatrix but it wont go into the sa.
the sa looks like its got a short throw to it, perhaps to make up for the length and the bendy?

i have an SA and the throw is fairly short. by 1980 standards, it was a great shifter. the FB shifter has a better feel. the SA shifter is a neat and nostalgic design that is both functional and acceptable.

Jorx81@aol.com is the guy that makes them. $80 shipped is his price. I want to get one but I'm soooo strapped for cash.

(you also wouldn't believe how many times I've posted this on the forum. How many people I've referred to him and how many people have actually bought from him I will not know)

Will an SA shifter fit into a later model? Also I read that a Miatia shifter will work in our cars. Can anyone confirm? If so they might be a better deal as a short throw Miatia shifter is like $40 on ebay

i paid full price for my mazdatrix one. i love it. unfortunatly i have a car that the shifter likes to rattle in so its a little annoying at times, but nothing the radio can't drown out.

i won't go back to stock.

additionally, the mazdatrix short throw doesn't have that angled bend rearward that the stock shifter has. 4th is about where neutral used to sit. worth every penny tho.

No, different bellhousing.

Just go for one of Jorx. $80 is nothing for a new short throw
