1st gen drift set-up
Contact the user "Driftlanta". He drifts his 7 all the time and he can give you any info you may need if you ask. He may also include a video of him in action. They're really wicked.

Here's one of his posts. On his username, just click on it and it'll pull out a menu, one of the options being "Send a Private Message". This link also has a video.

Well a LSD is good. Polyeuratahne bushings, shocks upgrade, and springs upgrade. Basicly you want to upgrade suspention, then get some 15" or larger rims, and teh cehapest tires you can find for the reares, and the stickiest for the front. I would recomend going crapy tires all ways round, untill you become more expirienced.
I am setting up my 85 GSL for drift too.

I'm recalling Rod Millens comment about his Rx-8 not having enought power so it recieved a 13B REW.

PepBoys Futura GLS tires
$40 for an autocross practice day.
This will allow you to slide the car as you please, then start modifying the suspension as you see fit. Dampers, springs, brakes, etc.
Remember to change onlyone thing at a time and learn your car over again each time. Take notes and record how the car feels after every modification. Then you can set it up to what you want, the way you want.
I have my car set up to understeer slightly so I can get out of trouble and just scrub off speed in a turn. Some people like a loose car so it's easier to get the rear end around, but it will be harder, in my opinion, to go faster. If I need to drift around, I'll just stab the brakes a little harder to trasfer some weight.

Geez you guys are ******* babies... I never said I didn't like drifting, or that it wasn't a legitimate form of driving... I merely said drifting was becoming a FAD... Before you attempt to argue that point, why not search the 2nd gen section for "Initial D" and see how many threads pop up with kids wanting to make their car look like "that white RX-7 on Initial D"...
My whole point had nothing to do with drifting, but rather that it was also becoming a FAD to respond with pointless flame posts when someone asks a question regarding drifting... I was defending the thread starter... If you had learned about a little thing called "context" in school, you probably would have figured that out...

See I like drifting and want to get into it but I don't know what this Intial D thing is, and I don't care. I just want a car that is good for what I want.
I also want to autocross, and some day rally, but that is for another day *sigh*

You're just simply an idiot, and I don't quite know how else to describe it... As I already stated, my post was directed toward the "mad tyte" comment, so for you to get your panties all wedged up your asscrack over this just seems pretty funny to me... Thanks for saving the day mate... Don't you have a croc to catch or something?
