Welcome to the forum.

Does the tachometer work when you start cranking the engine?
The 84-85 models go thru the trailing ignitor for power to the fuel pump.
If the tach is not working the ignitor is dead or has a connection problem.

Please Help W/ Fuel Pump Problem 85 rx7

1985 rx7. Been in garage for 5 years. rebuilt carb. and rebuilt engine. Drained gas tank. changed fuel filter. fuel line has been checked and is not clogged. spray starter fluid into carb and it starts up fine until starter fluid burns up. poured gas into carb and it starts up until that burns up. Checked the wire connector to fuel pump and is not hot. Tach is fine when trying to start.pulled fuel line off carb and tryed to crank no gas being pumped. all fuses in fuse block are good. I need some much appreciated help.
