1984 rx7 gsl se air conditioner
I recently bought a 1984 RX 7GSLSE seems someone took the air conditioning unit out of it does only Mazda air conditioners fit in this unit if not could someone suggest what I can do going to be hot this season would like to get it back in
Two options, fined a GSL or GSL-SE that is being parted, or buy new parts. The new parts don't have to be what Mazda used, they just need to fit. The hardest part will be finding the AC bracket that hold the compressor. There are two versions. One with and one without power starting. If you don't have power steering, any 1984/1985 year/model bracket will work. The power steering bracket version will also work even if you don't have power steering.
I'd personally go with new parts. And it's not going to be cheap.

There are as many people stripping AC out of their cars as there are people looking for it. I stripped all the (working) parts of my AC as soon as I got the car home and sold it here, cheap. Look in the classifieds section for people stripping out cars. Also look on epay. Any junk yard selling a fender or door will be happy to sell you the AC system... just ask them.
I have the complete ac coil and blower assembly. And a few of the ac lines. I also have all of the duct work that fits behind an 84-85 dashboard. I don’t have a compressor or condenser coil. If your interested pm me.

I can say for the hoses, you'll need to have those made. Best to get everything assembled and then take the car to an AC shop and have them make the hoses. A good hydraulic shop might be able to make them also.
