I will try getting my car up to 20,000 rpm tonight and tell ya if my car survives, NOT!!!. How could you even tell if you got the RPM's up that high? I could see maybe hitting 12k but the needle would bottom out. I wonder how load the car would sound at 22k?

I will step out on a limb. The guy said he read that Wankel had one up to 20k. One of the rotary prototypes used a different design than what we are used to. very high reving but it required a rebuild just to change the plugs.

I will find my faqs to back myself if need be. if he was talking about his 12a yes, bullshit. my problem is why would the alternator **** out out at high rpm. the waterpump yes. the alt NO.

The name Dave Cameron is familier. I just don't remember where I've seen it before. Is he associated with a shop somewhere?

I don't think that part about 14k RPM is true. However that part about Wankel himself getting 22k RPM is true, but not with DKM, or was it a KKM? Well, the older high revving engine had to be disassembled to change the plugs. Wouldn't that be fun? For 22k RPM? Maybe

Oh, and I used to live in Grants Pass and it's in Oregon! Geez!

EDIT: Our posts were a minute apart.

i would guess it's due to belt slippage.
