If i recall correctly, its Racing Beat that has set that record. If you go to www.racingbeat.com they might have some information there.

I just googled it and it came up right ... its in a 1978 rx-7 183.904mph from racing beat. There was also another record for a 1985 of 190.98mph by E-Modified sports

Class record at Bonneville. Rules limited mods for class so Its not the ultimate speed for a 1st gen, just a class speed.

^Nope that was a 3rd gen. The car he is asking about was a first gen campaigned at Bonneville in 1979. It had a 2 rotor naturally aspirated peripheral port engine.

Nah ... you just need to sharpen it more so that the air can flow around it with less restriction

Can someone list the full setup they have on that car? Well at least what was done to the motor? Maybe even a suspension list?
