I know from a thread of mine that a +35mm with a 7inch is a damn close fit to the strut tower but wont rub on the outside.

My 15x7s are +27 offset. 205/50/15 tires. Car sits very low. The tires will rub the inside of the fender under pretty extreme combinations of turning and bumps but never under normal conditions.

30-35mm will rub, you need 40mm

offset is how far in front of or behind the mounting area is to the center of the wheel.

positive offset will make more of the width of the wheel protrude outwards

So a higher offset means that the 'spokes' or 'mesh' is closer to the 'outside' of the rim?

i can never seem to find a set of decent wheels with a good enough offset for our cars it's getting kinda frustrating. which wheels are out there in this mythical offset?
