clutch suggestions?

i've got an 85 12a gsl, which is currently undergoing an engine swap
with another 12a...it will be running stock port, and at the very most will
have custom exhaust, and some type of aftermrket carb, etc....

i don't know alot about clutches, and figure it would be stupid not to
get a new one since the engine is out of the car, so what clutch would
you guys suggest for a n/a 12a? obviously not something too radical, but
a little stronger than a factory clutch. i guess something good for street/strip/autocross.

are all the rotary clutches interchangable, or are they different to the specific
models/years. thanks

Depends on how much you want to spend. With a basically stock motor, headers and maybe upgraded carb, a stock disc would be fine with an upgraded pp. That would be good for a dd and a few trips to the drag strip. The stiffer pp will give you a little better clutch feel and clamping pressure.

If you plan on doing many hard launches, upgrade both.

An oem replacement will run about 150 for parts, anything else will run about 250 and up.
