15x7

whats the offset so i could put 15x7 on a gsl-se? i tried surching but no answers yet.

mabii 10-04-05 10:30 PM

Pretty sure its gona be +30 to +35

MaX PoWeR 10-05-05 12:11 AM

with that offset no rubbing.. a perfect fit?

mabii 10-05-05 12:19 AM

I know from a thread of mine that a +35mm with a 7inch is a damn close fit to the strut tower but wont rub on the outside.

MaX PoWeR 10-05-05 12:24 AM

whats the differance with the 30 offset? also would 12mm offset fit?

mabii 10-05-05 12:28 AM

12mm would not and the 30mm Im not sure about but im sure some one on here is :) Im gona be running 17x7.5 all the way around with a +21mm with some custom work done to my fenders.

MaX PoWeR 10-05-05 12:33 AM

nice. so 30-35 offset for front and back?

mabii 10-05-05 12:44 AM

I guess just get +35 for all 4 so you can rotate the wheels and tires =) I know my proxy4's with my exp discount were 140$ a piece

MaX PoWeR 10-05-05 01:24 AM

whats the largest tires u could put befor rubbing?

mabii 10-05-05 01:37 AM

Im using 205's But im not sure gona throw it up and say maybe 215's?

MaX PoWeR 10-05-05 01:57 AM

mabii 10-05-05 02:03 AM

BLOWNandTWISTED 10-05-05 11:29 AM

ok, so 30-35mm offset on 15X7's. is that tha same or close to for let say 17X7.5"?? just wondering cuz im going to be purchasing my (custom) click here for pic! wheels soon. they are 5 minutes away from my house. should i go for the black, gunmetal, or gold?? and also tell me what you guys think of them.:bigthumb:

RotaryAXer 10-05-05 11:39 AM

My 15x7s are +27 offset. 205/50/15 tires. Car sits very low. The tires will rub the inside of the fender under pretty extreme combinations of turning and bumps but never under normal conditions.

30-35mm will rub, you need 40mm

nice wheels tho

jays83gsl 10-05-05 03:22 PM

Okay, I'm wheel stupid. What the FUCK is offset? How do the measurements work?!

K-Tune 10-05-05 03:24 PM

offset is how far in front of or behind the mounting area is to the center of the wheel.

positive offset will make more of the width of the wheel protrude outwards

jays83gsl 10-05-05 03:27 PM

So a higher offset means that the 'spokes' or 'mesh' is closer to the 'outside' of the rim?

K-Tune 10-05-05 06:07 PM

other way.

Power Aids 10-05-05 07:18 PM

i can never seem to find a set of decent wheels with a good enough offset for our cars it's getting kinda frustrating. which wheels are out there in this mythical offset?

MaX PoWeR 10-05-05 10:34 PM

so to make sure 15x7 with 40 offset will fit perfectly? not 30-35 offset? im so confused.......
