13b turbo in 84 12a car

i've seen a few post about doing this job but one thing i'm having an issue with finding is about the oil drain on the front cover and the fly wheel. i got a gslse front cover and it has a spot to drill a hole but what is a good hose/pipe to use. anyone have any ideas/comments about it. and what flywheel to use with which trans. i got a 13bt trans and a 12a trans in my garage. which to use?

Go with the 13b trans, that way you don't need to mess with any counterwieghts or anything, just swap out your tail housing, and fab up a quick trans mount. Theres a few threads that show how in the archieve.

If you use the stock Turbo setup (exhaust manifold, turbo, etc..) off a 2nd gen (S4 or S5 same difference for this matter)... Then the oil return is perfect to bolt up to the GSL -SE front cover. Two bolts are required to mount the return, but the SE cover only has the provision for one. Easy to maneuver up something for the 2nd bolt.

Unless ur running a 12A motor, then exhaust manifold will have to be custom to utilize the stock 2nd Gen turbo setup... which would more then likely put the stock return out of alignment to bolt right up... You didn't say which motor you'll be running.

^ What the doc said... Definatly search the archives or older posts... Alot of info in there even if it isn't specific to EXACTLY what ur doing it'll help you with the specifics of your questions...
