Steering wheel fix

Mine pops out about an inch when I punch the gas. I kinda got used to it over the years but now I want a fix. I might of broke the collapsable clip or whatever it is when I removed the steering wheels years ago.

Does anyone have the fix procedure with a few pics? I heard its fairly simple.

It could be that the nut holding it in place is loose. Have you taken the horn button off and checked to make sure that everything is as it should be there?

Are you sure the steering house itself is properly bolted down?

what you have to do is drill a hole in the steering colum cover slightly larger than the second hole which you drill in both sections of the actual colum. the yuo put a rivet in to hold it together. do a search theres a write up for this.
