13b pan differences?

13b pan differences?

ok, for my swap i know i need to put the gsl-se oil pan on the 90 fc 13b. umm, they look totally different as do the gaskets? are you guys sure there is no fabbing? OH and which gasket do i get? the gsl-se oil pan gasket? or the fc motor one?? ?? ?? thanks guys! i almost have all my parts!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO ******* HOOOOO!

use RVT and make your own gasket for the pan. make sure you use high temp stuff though.

I would use the GSL-SE oil pan and gasket for the conversion along with some RTV. The difference in the oil pan shapes is due to the fact that the second gens engine mounts connected to the side of the motor instead of the front. This is why there is an indentation on the side of the pan for the second gens. BTW, in the other post you have regarding the cost of oil pan gaskets, I didn't realize that you were in fact converting to 13b. So the oil pan gasket I have will work and you can have my extra gsl-se oil pan gasket for free + shipping. PM me if you are interested.
