Hey Rotary Crew - this has been a great discussion, and I have certainly picked up some great tips. Thanks all for contributing. With the ups/downs of supply chains and the fickle tire industry, am guessing this topic is going to be revisited more than any of us wish.
But I can at least cap off MY part of this (mis) adventure. I picked up my pair of BFG TA 205/60-13s Friday. $234 for the pair, mounted and balanced.
LOL - yeah, they are "backwards", to match the front set of currently extinct Vredstein Sprint Classics on the front. Not being a Track-guy, it will be interesting to see if I even notice the diff in the holding btw the 2 brands!
