I've only taken Fram's off two cars...

Motorhome: parts store only had a Fram. "How bad could it be?". Sitting in traffic in DFW at 6 in the morning (left Austin at 3) oil pressure drops to about half what it normally is. "Apparently, that bad". Change the filter on the side of the road before it completely blocks the oil passages in the old 455.

'79 ITA RX7: Owner says, "Oil pressure does funny things". Uh, maybe it's because you've got a Fram on there. "Nahh, everybody talks bad about Fram's, but they're awesome". <pulls drain plug off> "Awesome enough to come apart in your oil, apparently".

Consider yourself lucky, and you're probably better off not talking about how awesome Fram filters are in the future.

Napa Gold and Wix (same thing actually) are the only filters besides the OEM filters that I would touch, for any vehicle!

I think you missed the main point of keeping the heat in the exhaust pipe/headder. Hot gasses move faster than slow gasses, and are more easily "pushed" out of the pipe. The gains from a wrap or coating of the exhaust are found here more so than from the under hood temp.
