I think it is possible my little brother is about 6'2 and weighs about 180-190#s and can easly lift me above is head and I weigh about 140#s. So maybe with alittle determination one could lift the engine out of the car maybe I am stupid I don't know.

the center of gravity of the the engine is more than 2 feet from the outside of the front fenders. Lifting the engine out of the engine bay would be the same as lifting a 200 pound bar bell, but having to bend over with your feet more than two feet away from the barbell. It can't be done in that manner. If some one was leaning on the fender for leverage to lift the engine, they could do it.....if they had one hell of a heavy ***
However lifting 200 pound barbell with the feet under directly under it would be an easy "feat" for some of us.

love the braaaap
Well, I can lift up my 12a shortblock and move it from bench to bench, but I can't put it on the ground. The "package" is just too awkward. I'm not what you would consider a "strong" guy either. I can only bench 120, but I can lift 200 lbs with my legs pretty well. So counting in my body weight at 215 lbs, thats 415 lbs I can lift with my legs. Not strong, but not too shabby. I would guess that 170 lbs is quite accurate for a weight.
Now, a fully dressed 12a has gotta weigh in at at least 300 lbs. Thats a lot of weight, and when all is considered, a small block V8 (ford 302 for example) only weighs 50-75 lbs more. But I won't get into that.
