12a Turbo Turbo Turbo
ok i have reached the limit of my own ability. i am humbly asking you all for your thoughts and suggestions. i have a 1979 sa i have a supert70 turbo a hks 50mm waste gate a big *** intercooler a side draft intake with a sk racing carb. and i have a 84 gsl to steal the rear end and the ignition out of. this exhaust manifold is being a mother fu*&^r to make. i got all ansy one night and decided to go weld it all up, not checking if my big *** turbo would clear the intake. needless to say it did not. i am in the proses of making it work lol. i have full 3" exhaust up over the axle to a obxr race muff. i also have a custom 4" thick aluminum radiator with electric fan. i have to much time and $ into this thing to stop now and would love to just do some boost pulls!
my motor is street ported and oil and coolant passageway ported. i have stock rotors stock stationary gears and stock seals but it has about 3000miles on the new rebuild. i hope to be able to make 400hp with this setup but if it is not possible plz let me know. i hope to catch a eye of someone experienced in 12a blow threw turbo cars. i would love to know what size jets to use in the carb if i can even use this carb, what boost pressure to use etc. if you have any thoughts or ideas for my project plz post away. i hope i came to the right place for help. thank you all for your time!

No blowthru experience here, but personally, I'd ditch the carb for a pair of 50 mm throttle bodies, like the Tweak-It kit, and go FI with a standalone ecu. In the long run, it would pay off in tuneability and reliability. You're really taking your chances trying to get 400 hp of of a basically stock 12A without any reliability mods.

What brand is your super T70?
While you're swapping out the rear end, don't forget to do the complete front strut assembly, including brakes, too.
Good luck.

It would be hard pressed to see 400rwhp with that setup. The thing that's really going to be the key is tuning. Really need to think about ditching that SUX carb and getting a 48 Weber. Ignition is the other thing. Locked dizzy and direct fire leading coil plus a colder plug. My old blowthrough Nikki setup got me close to 250rwhp at 15psi on a stockport. To get over that I had two choices. Bridgeport 12A with a blowthrough Weber, or TII setup. You can check my sig to see the results.
I agree with Trochoid. Go EFI, you'll thank yourself later. Besides Tweakit, you can also get throttle bodies from TWM. MegaSquirt is a good but cheap solution to a standalone ECU.
well i don't rly have 3000$ right now or the knowledge to throw into EFI. i would if i could i just rly want to get this car done by the spring. and if i get a Weber 48 what jets to use? any mods to the carb for boost?. and does anyone have a Weber for sale? ps thank you all so much for you input

Make sure your carb is made for boost. OR Get a really nice carb that is made for boost.(marine carb)
Put a carb hat on that thing and -- finish piping intercooler and it ready for tunning. Forget the drivetrain for now. Engine means more=D
Buy an wideband sensor. Jet that thing as close as you can.(being conservative)
MAke sure you know what kind of boost you will get on just wastegate. JEt accordingly.
DO you have one of those modified dizzy's? for turbo?
