12A Turbo Help

i want to turbocharge my 12A.....will the motor be able to withstand the boost if i dont change the rotors???i am also going to run it with a carb no fuel injection. can some one please give me some information.

From people I've talked to you can use the motor stock as long as you keep it under 10psi. Not sure the accuracy of this, but it seemed to be a fairly consistent opinion.

And the Carb will have to be prepped for a turbo. or buy a different one.

Hey get a 650 holley marine carb and dont go pass 7 psi. I will recomend you to go and rebuild the engine. Street port and half brigde. If you have any ??? let me now. and what kind a turbo you are using. make sure you get a FI fuel pump and a regulator with a return.

It depends a lot on the setup that you will be running. There are many variables that will affect the safe level of boost. Compression ratio is just one of them. 6-7psi is a relatively safe level assuming you are fairly diligent with controlling A/F mixture, intake charge temps, and timing.

best person to talk to about this is robert from rotaryshack he has a 12a turbo with over 630hp at the wheel and his running high boost , his number is 818 693-1031 give him a call.
