That looks awesome man. I'm down in Delmont and I'm about to be picking up my first RX-7 and its an FB. I was wondering where you got that intake manifold? Did you make it or were you able to buy it somewhere?

It's a set of housings I had laying around for a while. They only had 23,000 mi. on them. So I polished them. I put together another motor for myself but ended up selling it to another member. Did you get your 7 fixed yet? So far it's all good with mine. I just got a Tokico suspension. Waiting for a nice day to put it on.

My engine builder has been super busy lately and he is now finally making some time to look at my vibration issues. Just looking at one thing at a time like pulleys/belts and the accessory bearings. It also could be my clutch/flywheel/pressure plate but to find out if it is he would have to remove the transmission, but if it turns out to be a manufacturers defect in poor balancing then all that work is not covered under warranty. He says he has never rebuilt an engine with vibrations like mine so he doesn't think its internal, but I'll see what happens. I need to order some bushings next though

If you do tear it down, check the rotors.

Also, I hope OP doesn't use the rotors shown in the picture. Nice engine though!

I'm not using those rotors, I'm currently looking for another set. The rear rotor is damaged. The apex seal groove is too worn out.

I'm not really a holley lover but I had this intake laying around.. might as well put it to use. You know the economy is bad. Didn't want to buy a different set up for it.

As that "other member", I can attest to Joey's craftsmanship. I just spent the week dropping in the motor he sold me, and besides some minor tuning tweaks that I'm going to get done at Pineapple racing, it runs great. Good compression, and she started right up.

Joey, thanks again man!

Yep that was me. That guy that wanted the car is an *******. He's trying to get **** for free to make money off it. He stiffed me for 2 rebuilt carbs. I just dropped the carbs off at his house & don't **** with him no more. He needs me to rebuild his junk, I don't need him.
