Do a search on porting

www.mazdaracing.com
www.mazdatrix.com
http://personal.riverusers.com/~yawpower/

Basically, the 12a can be ported much the same as a T2, they are both 4 ports, unless your friend has a 12a 6port, which were never sold here. Then you will have to try Australia, I guess. Good Luck.

those URL's feature information, including pics, on different types of ports. Yawpower's website has some write ups on port timing which is very good info for those porting a rotary.

Dig a little deeper.

how are you going to download a porting template anyway?
i have a couple lying around waiting to get used and dont see how a digi pic will help much,
i see them going for a round $30-$50 its not gonna brake the bank to buy a set.

He wants someone to throw it on a flatbed scanner so he can print it out and make his own for free.

if i were in states and had those $30 - 50, i would buy it or i borrowed it from friend for free, but i`m in cz and i know how to use computers and internet and this kind of thing could be done without any problems and any costs....same like we are all sharing scanned factory shop manuals over the world, we could share those templates, there is no difference...
thanks

sure they are, atleast for FC and FD,

http://www.fc3s.org - section howto's (88 and 89 FSM)

http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/Technical_I...ice_manual.htm (93,94,88 FSM and some other info)

and i think that my buddy (who wants those porting templates) has some parts of first gen FSM as well..

it looks like first gen users are not that much into sharing information with other users, otherwise i would see more FB and SA manuals online...i bet lot of u guys does have scanner and original paper FSM
even scanning Hayes manual would be helpfull for us overseas guys and because i doubt it will be in shops forever....just to save it for future

I could do the Haynes manual, but the shop manuals I have are the ones with the crappy pics. And I bet the Haynes Manual will be around for some time.
