12A fuel line size

Anyone know what it is? I'm going to be using the stock feed line as a return line on an EFI setup and I was hoping to be able to buy the right size fittings to slap on either end the first time. I think it's 1/4"...

I should add more. The above is for a stock carb setup. A stock EFI setup like a GSL-SE uses 5/16" for send and return.

Would it be a bad to use 3/8 fuel lines with stock fuel pump and carb for the 1979 sa22c to and frrom motor!?

Im about too buy an gls 85 motor to put in the car but the the fuel lines need to be changed! So seeing here that 5/16" fuel lines r stock from tank to motor and back . Well i was wondering if i bought flex core 3/8" fuel line to put in the car if its bad to use a bigger fuel hose on a stock feul pump and motor! . Or if it would be ok to do so to get some more power??? Hmmm?

I used the 5/16" feed and then pulled another 5/16" line off of another 12A for the return.

Have a Cartech 13B turbo system here. It is one I bought in the early 90`s.

The fuel pump is a Bosch 220 GPH unit I THINK ( Been awhile since I looked at the specs ) but originally had a BMW 325 pump which died later.

Whole system is controlled by a Haltech E6 EFI set-up. Engine is a 4 port Pettit with 3mm apex seals.

I swapped a TII into my FB that was originally a 12a.
5/16" return line, was stock feed line
3/8" new feed line (aluminum line from Summit Racing)
1/4" stock return line I capped and didn't use

the simple answer is yes. you can use larger lines. however, by themselves, they're not going to yield more power.

Well what i would like to accomplish is once i put bigger fuel lines i would then upgrade the spark plugs wires and cap and rotor and more!....

Those things still won't take advantage of larger fuel lines though. You'd still have the same fuel pump, pushing the same volume and psi of fuel through larger lines. Yes, that would help the fuel flow better but that won't make you feel any perceptible gains. Larger fuel lines usually are accompanied by a higher flow and volume fuel pump and larger carb pushing more fuel because the engine needs it (in the case of porting or turbocharging). You don't mention either of these so larger fuel lines won't really get you anywhere. As stated, going EFI it's necessary to upgrade one of the lines in a 12a car to 5/16" or larger because a 13b FC car has a 5/16" feed and return line.

The plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor should just be a basic tune up for the car - not yielding much more in power, just in economy and safety for the longevity of the engine.

New update! I have put a new battery new super stock coils by accel spark plug wires and new fuel pump filter and the line are 3/8 to and from! I had taken 3 off and idk where the 3rd line goes to from the tank! I got the main line and return lines hooked up but Idk on the 3rd one! Next the beehive oil cooler - I have at the bottom under the bee hive a splite hose to to to bottom of the beehive and one to the heater core! Could I just make it a single line to the beehive from motor then from the beehive to the heater core? I'm stuck on the radiator hose that hooks up to the top of the beehive! Idk where it goes! HELP ME...
