12A Fan on a GSL-SE engine, does it fit ?

12A Fan on a GSL-SE engine, does it fit ?

I have an SE engine that i'm going to install in my 83 GS. But, i don't have the rad fan on the SE's engine, does the 12A fan fit on the 13B ??

Yup!
All the 1st gens are the same...

And I think 2nd gen fans fit as well?

If you didn't get the aluminum piece that bolts to the pulley too, then you might need to oval the bolt holes some. I don't know what year my fan came from, but the holes just didn't quite line up.

2nd gens dont fit.
Yes it can fit... I had a 1990 FC fan in my SE, only difference is it had 2 more fins.. just use the 1st gen clutch.

Ok i have a problem : I have a second gen fan with the second gen clutch, can i use my 12a clutch and 2nd gen fan???

Be careful, the fan spacers are different on different years. The fan could end up too far away to move air properly thru the shroud, or be too close to the radiator.
