12a Carb TPS adjustment

Anyone done it? Tried mine to no avail, even tried two other TPS's cant get no light. Ive read the Haynes and the Mazda service, maybe its just not clicking or Im not reading it right. I made my test light (same one for my -SE but adapted for this) and am hooking it up to the brown connector under the carb hat with the green/yellow wire and the green one (cant remember for sure). Pics would be great, and someone saying they actually have performed with success.

Thanks in advance.

Its got something very important with the air injection port switching and some other stuff. I screwed in then backed out the adjustment screw and it makes my shutter valve come on sooner/longer or later/shorter depending on position, so I know its working but the whole light thing is really pissing me off. I know that if I get it right the car should run better.

in the Haynes manual on page 261, fig.13.49, 13-50, shows the carb "throttle sensor" and the test for it, but cant get it to work.....located to the rear of thermostat housing on engine.

Go look at yours, its on the front of the carb down on the bottom shaft. Look in the Haynes manual then the Mazda one too. They have got them.

yeah its a bizzare setup but they do have them. I'm not sure if all the years did, I know 84 and 85 did.
