Thread moved.
I figured it would get much more response here than the NA section.

Best so far is 227 rwhp on a streetported 13b, 7 inch blower, methanol and a big holley.

For a daily driver a 5 inch would give about 150 rwhp with a great torque curve and instant boost making for a sweet daily driver.

Don't expect big turbo numbers.....this is a different animal.

I think I've posted my opinion of the Camden superchargers here before. It's not very positive.

I'm building an engine to take advantage of the 5" Camden supercharger. Stock ports or more specifically 74 spec intakes and T2 size exhaust. 3mm apex seals, competition oil springs, competition corner springs (NF01). Tight fitting side seals with new stock springs. New Viton oil o-rings. Smashed rear oil pressure reg (not that this is necessary but with R5 parts it kinda is). Oh and a semi-locked dizzy, so it only advances ten degrees instead of 20.

My only question mark is which flywheel to use? My three choices are stock GSL-SE which is 26 pounds. Or a Racing Beat light steel at 13 pounds (plus 4 for the counterweight = 17). Or a Racing Beat aluminum at 7.5 pounds.

84stock recommends stock flywheels for better launches but I may have to dissagree on my specific situation here based on just how heavy the GSL-SE flywheel is along with the very heavy R5 13B rotors at 11.5 pounds each. That's a lot of spinning mass plus the supercharger itself. I'd rather go with light steel but might not have enough parts available to do so at the moment, so I'll most likely just go with the GSL-SE flywheel because I've got a nice stock clutch disc and pressure plate that will work great during break in and should hold up to 150HP and whatever torque it makes. Then do a swap later if necessary. Gotta look for a rear CW in the mean time.

Hey PercentSevenC, I look forward to getting your rear counterweight when I get the other stuff during your FD swap while you're off school in a bit. Oh sure, announce it to the whole forum.
