12a to 13brew conversion

Hello every one this rx78581 i have a 85 gs rx7 that i have done some work to however my 12a just took a crap. So i purchased a 96 jdm 13b rew from a friend who ran into some money problems. I got the engine, trans wiring harness, ecu along with a t3-t4 hybrid a/r 60 hks turbo manifold tile blowoff valve and 52mm external waist gate all for $1,000. now that is out of the way does anyone now where i can get infromation on doing this swap or has the infromation themselves. I know there is a lot of work that needs to be done however i am not 100% positive of everything that needs to be done.

thank you rx78581

Well, with what you have stated about the engine so far, plan on it being next year's B-day present. Personally, I would rebuild it before even thinking about install since it's imported and modded. Find a TII tranny and an S5 clutch setup.

You will need to spend many hours of reading in the 3rd gen and single turbo sections to get it set up right. You might consider going stand alone also.

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside. Download the online FSMs from link in my sig line. Good luck.

Wow, 13brew swaps are very rare and very difficult to do.

You have a long, expensive, difficult journey ahead of you which hasn't been undertaken by many others. Expect a lack of specific info being available about the swap, and lots of fab work.

Welcome,

Jon
