12a and 13b accessory compatibility

I've mostly been an FC guy, but I'm coming into a 12a. The plan is to put it in a b2200. Power steering and AC would be nice to reattach so I'm curious if it's possible to mount the FC accessories on a 12a? I ask since I have some laying around already and I imagine they will work considering they're the same time frame of design.

I have an 83 FB with a 12a, and I put an FC alternator in it, so I think you're okay there. I only needed to use a couple of spacers on the pivot mount, otherwise bolt on.

The only gotcha is if you use the FC water pump housing, there is an unused stud hole that has to be tapped for a pipe plug on the backside, and tapped for a bolt on the frontside. Also, I don't think the FC alternator bracket will clear a distributor without some adjustment.

Look at this thread for the water pump housing.

The studs on the front cover and front iron didn't change between generations, so the PS and AC bracket should bolt on.
