Okay i got the turbo tranny in peices...well not really took of the tail shaft housing so i can put a 12a shaft being that shifter shaft is shorter...

Took the old tranny this is GSL-SE tranny and im going to use the shifter shaft and housing off that one and place that portion on the TII tail shaft housing...

Finally got the rx4 bell housing in today thanks to chinx74r2 thanks for the fast service bro...means a lot...
Got my little motor all painted up and ****...front cover tapped and threaded for the oil feed to the turbo...

Hey teddy--- since the 7 is fitted for drag is there a point in putting in expensive stuff in the tranni and diff? I wonder if the application is going to be the same as, lets say Auto crossing- naturally auto-xing with the length of the event heat builds up and viscosity break down is more prevalent. Not to say that Drag racing does not produce high heat but for a very short period of time. I wonder.
What are you putting in the gear boxes???

Harden gears, and different gear ratio's to match up with the 9inch rear end make all the difference...Having all the horse power in the world can't do he/she anything unless there suspension, rear end, tranny, are set up properly...Turbo II trannies are not the best of the best, but do hold up plenty of horse power, as compaired to other year trannies...
And to answer your question about is it logical to replace old parts with expensive parts for race purposes? Well im going to let you answer that for yourself...

Teddy, looking good. I just did the same things to my tII trans. except instead of
using the tailshafthousing from a first gen, I shortened the TII shifter rod,ect by 4". So do you have a guesstimated time of start up yet?
