Right now you have a Stock 12a with the stock Nikki carb that came with it.

You could get a Weber, Holley, Dell'orto, Sterling (modified stock carb)

Some sites to look at

www.racingbeat.com

www.rotaryshack.com

Im sure more will chime in with thiers

Personally, if it's stock and you have a fast car already, get sterling to rebuild the nikki from the car. Then take what you've saved and do a header and exhaust.

I've got a 600cfm Holley for sale, its not a RB holley though. Its partially prepped for a turbo, but otherwise it is in working order. I'd be willing to let it go for $200 plus shipping. PM me if your interested. You'd have to locate an intake manifold for it though, which isn't too hard.

Thats a nice car you have there. Hope it all works out.

Bigass;
From looking at your Pic's I would go the Stay Stock ie rebuild or send your Carb to Sterling or RX7Carl and let them do there Magic on it.
I noticed you do not have the AirPump hooked up so you are Cooking your Exhaust System if it's still Stock.
To go with a (Off the Shelf Holley) with no Mods your in for some serious problems from start to finish.
Not to say a shitload of money chasing them.
Stay with the Modded Nikki or get ready to be here alot.

If you decide to get an aftermarket carb get it from Racing Beat or Mazdatrix, as they tweak the carbs to work correctly with the rotary. These tweaks include inputs for the MOP ( or metering oil pump) and specifc jetting to work with a rotary. Without those mods you will have a hard time tuning the carb unless your pretty knowledgable about carbs and the rotary engines. Before you get a carb the first mod really should be opening up th exhaust, as its the most restrictive part of the stock rotary setup. Next would be a carb or modify the stock carb to flow better.

Good luck and welcome.

Gonna have to agree with t g Farrel.
I have the RB 465 Holley installed on a StreetPort-Mild Bridge Port. Pinnapple Racing Motor.
And I still had to do some Mods to the Carb to get it to work right.
Another words! I have invested over $1700.00 to the Whole Fuel System.
But she Purrs like a Kitten and Runs like a Chetee as BlwFly and many other 1st Gens owners that have been in the Passenger Seat can Attest to.
Unless your ready to step up to a Hit and Miss (may Get The Engine)
to work with aftermarket Carb. Stay with either a Rebuild or go the Sterling or RX7Carl way.
6 -1st Gens Later and many$$$$$ I have learned the hard way not to do things.

I had the RB Holley setup for a while and I really liked it, But Im trying something new now. If you still want to do the Holley thing, Ive got a RB intake manifold and the 465 RB Holley that I would let go for pretty cheap. The carb does need a rebuild though, and im not sure how comfortable you are with that kind of stuff.

If you end up with a 465CFM Holley there is a write up in here about the Specs that Racing Beat uses on there Carbs.
Holley Part# R1848-1 is there base Version, and they do the rest.
I have the Upgrade to theres that actually works depending on how much $ you got to spend to do the follow up work. And the best part.
(It Works)!!!

Great Book on Holleys=
Super Tuning and Modifying Holley Carburetors by Dave Emanuel.
Taught me a few things even after buying the RB Preped Carb.

If you can get the Whole setup from TiVid, that's the way to go. The book I mentioned will walk you through the ReBuild Process!

Look on the 1st Gen FAQ section.
It will give the How to Contact list and the Mods for Stock Carbs.
