%&$%^#$*&(&$pos!!!!!!!

Anyways...lol, I'm having all kinds of title problems with my car. The dmv keeps sending me to wyoming to get it solved and vice-versa. Now, I have found a car that is the exact same color, yr, and model as i have now. the thing is, the guy wants $1400 for it, and i'm kind of skeptical because the car has 197,000 miles on it, and i've found 7's for less with less miles. i really like the color of the vehicle, but that seems a little much even for me to settle and swap all my parts to this other car. i'm so frustrated with this I seriously contemplated just crushing the s.o.b and calling it a day. What do you guys think?

btw, my car is a bronze gsl, 83"

Oh yeah, i'm probably gonna have to get a rebuild soon anyways.:

$1400 for any FB with 197,000 miles is a waste of time.

ditto, there are better deals out there, but it all comes down to how bad you want it.

I paid 1500 for my silver 82 with 88000. some rust on the doors and A little on the body (will be covered by the bodykit i want)

only problem Iv had is a seized water pump ($40) but other than that it runs awsome

was 1500 too much, I bought it from the dealership I work at. Thats the trade in price.

I think if you like the car and it is what you want, pay what every you feel comfortable with. It doesnt matter if someone else thinks it is a bad deal, if you feel good about it......it is a good deal!

my $.02

If you've got the bucks, buy the car, that is if there is a clear title, then use your car as ,,lets say a parts car,
and when done with it junk it..use all your good stuff.
you know ? thats one way to get around DMV's

That 83 with the bad title would make a great FP autocrosser, Spec7, IT7, drag car, or just a weekend warrior track car! Down here in Texas it is a little tough to find a 1st gen. in decent shape, all of the road racers have hogged them all up!

No, I ment rotor13bs. I have not even looked at pricing in a few years to see what they are going for down here? I am thinking about a 1st gen street car though...I dont have room right now for it! The rx gets the whole stable and my truck and the wifes sits out under the car port....got my priorities straight!!!

who knows how ****** much im gonna end up paying for a 1985 gsl-se
or 84

i want one with an awsome body and excellent underbody,

well really only the body parts that cant be replaced need to be perfect

but the underbody has to be mint no matter what,

im not going through what i went through on my last two 1st gens again

could care less about the engine,
or interior

engine gets rebuild first thing and all brand new interior from victoria

the whole car will be ripped down and rebuilt as if it rolled off the mazda factory line
"and i do mean the whole thing,im talking about a 3 year project here"

but with more hp

anyway,morel is
i dont need that much to be good on the car,
not even the ooh so important engine

but with my luck i wont be able to touch what i want for under $1,500.00

Hey pison pounder, did you get your motor all sorted out? I've been kinda keeping track of the meets, but the last one there is no way i could have made it because of family. This car is giving me fits oh, and get this, the other gsl i was talking about earlier in the thread was seen on the side of the road earlier today with a pink ticket and a yellow ticket on it Maybe i can convince the guy to let it go cheap seeing as how it probably has engine problems...lol

Cool Title Issue

Here in Ohio you have two options to the "no title" quandry. First, you can approach the Court of Common Pleas in your County with a written explanation of why you have no title and what you've tried to do to obtain one. If the Judge agrees with your story he issues a Court Order that you can then take to DMV for a title and plates. Second, you can take your vehicle to a State Highway Patrol inspection station, advise them that your car is a "Salvage Vehicle," and that you'd like to obtain a regular title. They'll inspect it to verify numbers to check for stolen parts, then give you papers that again you can take to the DMV....

If I'm you, I'm contacting my County Court House to ask how to proceed through them for a title....

Denny,
From the 'ol corncrib....
