Talking You'll NEVER Guess What I Found Sumitomo HTR 200's On!

Ok, so I was going to study the other day and I was walking by this funny little cart made for the food people her in college. I'm thinking to myself, "Hey, those look like 13" tires and rims....." then I saw it. Sumitomo HTR 200's.

Check it out.

I dunno Mark, those look like 175/50 Sumitomo's to me.

I had them on the Silver One when I first got it, they sucked. Gave you a backache getting into the car and bottomed out on walnuts in the driveway.

They are the 175/50 size - if you zoom way in on the 3rd picture you can see it on the bottom of the tire.

Ray - those look ridiculous! I bet you couldn't go over a speed bump at all. I'm sure they performed better than my General Altimax 175/70's by about twofold though - I hate those things. Nice, since they've worn evenly and have around 6k on them without a rotation and are still even. But I'd still trade even, and put up another $200 for a set of Sumitomo's of the same size!

500th post!

Yes, the 175/50's are nice treads for golf carts, but they suck on 7's.

Of course, up there in Minnesota, you're gonna need those Sumitomo HTR 200 175/50/13 treads on your golf cart to negotiate the golf course in the winter.

Congrats on #500 Mr. Young Rotorite!

PS, you need to get rid of those General Altimax 175/70's. There's some great 13" tires for next to nothing available for our 1st gen RX-7's.

My buddy told me yesturday at Sevenstock that Grassroots Motorsports mentioned that HTR 200's will be discontinued. Can any confirm this?

My 205R13's performed well at Willowsprings yesturday. It was so hot I had to keep letting air out, but I wasn't experiencing any sidewall flex. I need some kind of camber adjustment. The outside edge got a bit frayed, especially around turn 2.

Just happy that my FB and I made it there, raced, and home again without any issues. Can't say that for everyone, so many cars went off track. Just about every session you'd seen huge dust clouds and yellow/black flags.

I need some good 13inch tires - can't find even a 60 series tire anywhere - Tried some 13's on my GSL-SE just for kicks

Ah, I saw that they were 50's and assumed they were 215s. A 175/50 would be a very small tire!
