Why does that make you mad? If they were rusted beyond repair or wrecked, at least they were parted out to keep someone else's running. I don't know how many threads I have seen right here on the club where someone is parting out a parts car before it goes to the junkyard. Obviously, these are some of the ones that have been parted out.. I mean look closely at them, you can see that they are pretty much just shells, all the good stuff has been taken out.

Do you mean to tell me that you would consider rescuing these beauties? And do what? Have them sit in your yard or driveway? I don't think so.

Don't get bent out of shape. Just be glad that there are parts out ther from junkers that we can use to keep our good ones on the road!!

Later,
Bill

If i find one at the junkyard (that hasn't been parted out) i part it out right there cuz you never know when you or your friends will need parts.

its not just that they got wrecked its that some of those parts could still be used and there just siting there rotting. like the one with the van on it the passenger side fender atleast could be easily fixed but there just rotting. and im sure that more parts could have been used before they stuck the van on it. not to mention u dont put a van ontop of a 7 maybe the 7 ontop of the van.

Doesn't bother me much. I am so used to seeing nice cars in California at the Pick-n-Pull. They keep my car alive and well.
We can't save them all you know.

im srry but they arnt just cars u all know how much blood sweat and work go into these things and once u put enough in they start to get a personality and become alive, maybe not as alive as herby, but theylike to take there new owners to the breaking point to if they will take good care of them. they only let certain people drive them ive heard many a tale about how when anyoe else drives someones 7 they barely make it a block. these things arnt just cars and deep down most of the people on this site know that. i know that we cant save all the 7s but we can put the parts that are salvageable to good use, and do ar damndest to keep as many 7s on the road as F**KING possible. i mean the t-16 owners have a heart attack when some 1 just tosses them in the junk yard when there are still funtioning parts on them im only acting like someone who waht to still see RX-7s on the streets, besides mine, in fifty years and if im the only one who wants to see that then ur just sefish pigs!
its not about the value of the car if there all gone, and if ur in it just to make a proffit why the hell are u here. If thats all u want "profifit" then go to ebay or graigslist and **** off.

I'm glad to see that you're passionate about your seven crosen91. I too 'love' my car and the feeling of satisfaction that it gives through both modifying and the freedom of 'the cruise'. Personally, I enjoy walking through the wreckers and looking through the RX7 s that are there. Sometimes I make a great find of something unusual. More often than not, I find usable parts that I or someone else can use.
That being said, the sight of cars in those conditions also serves as a reminder that they are cars...an inanimate object. Sometimes they can be resurrected, and the forum is full of those awesome stories. But they are not 'alive'. They do have personalities, yes...especially the carbed ones. But...they are 'just a car'. A very unique one, but still, just a car. Many people on this forum, including myself, are VERY passionate about these cars. I spend a lot of my spare time talking to friends, my students and strangers about these cars. Maybe it's because I now have a few years of experience under my belt, and two wonderful sons that I love far more than I could about a car, a house ...anything. Calling people selfish pigs and accusing them of only being interested for profit reasons is a little unreasonable. I fully expect that the level of passion that the owners of these cars will increase as time goes by and they become more rare. I plan on having my car until I can no longer drive. At that point, I'll be dead and it will be part of my Will. You need to accept the fact that people have their own unique relationships with their cars...and their various possessions in general.

crosen91-- chill out on the crack pipe

i love my car and am very passionate about it, but still, its a car. i could understand if it were living, but its not. its different materials brought together to make something that moves. my SA means a lot to me, but im not going to think of it as if it were alive. thats rediculous.

there's an SA in a junkyard in the background of a pulp fiction scene! I was so happy that our car made it into such a classic. too bad it's a junker!

Before that happens I would like to say one thing. Instead of just postin pics of these cars, why not try to do something constructive instead of bitching. Like getting their vin #s. Its helps to account for the ones that are no longer in existence. This comes in handy way down the line for collectors and even helping the value of YOUR car for example as it can show the remaining quantity and therefore the rarity. Make sense?

Good idea Forsaken! I wonder if scrapyards would be willing to let you copy down the vins right from their list in the office?
