The White One turns 150
#7
Yep, definitely a youngster, just like me. We are shooting for 200 together, at 25-30K a year, that should happen sometime in 2010.
And thanks Dave, the White One really has been a gem, it just keeps getting better and better.
The only problem with the White One is that it keeps on running so I'm not getting a chance to put my back up car (the Silver One) on the road. The Silver One only has 102k and it's a real garage queen ('till I got it, now it lives out under the plum trees).

Yeah I know they came with the car, go cart tires (Sumitomo HTR 200's 175/50/R13's). Practically new but I hated them, they looked goofy and put the car too low to the ground, scraping and getting in an out were a pain.
They are gone, to be replaced by stock Yokohama Avid Tourings - it will look like the White One, only silver.

that's what i've been running for yrs on mine. where r u getting them? i just ordered a set from tirerack($236.78) for set of 4. cheapest place i've been able to find. anything i find local is like $83 per tire and that's for cooper cobras. getting sumitomo htr 200 for $49 per. shipping from midway, ga. probably could pick them up for about half of what the shipping charge($40.78) is. their recommended installers want between $22.50-24.70 per tire to mount and balance. i checked a place up the street from me that'll do it for $26 for all 4.

Sorry Michael that '50s skinny look is just too skinny for my taste:
Not to mention the backache from climbing in and out of the "lowered" car, the damage to the undercarriage (front valence and muffler all scraped up) and the speedometer error.
I much prefer the looks and performance of the meatier stock tires (the Yoko Avids come with an 80,000 mile warranty and are very reasonably priced):

yes ray i agree. the 50 series is just to short. there's a site i ran across the other day that has size compairison on tire dia of the different sizes. which is good for other than stock tire size without putting ur speedo too far out.
couldn't find the site i was talking about but did find a pdf of how to calculate it.
