Sorry to be such a late arrival at the ball, but after 4 years I have the answer to your query. The mystery car is a Talbot Lago Sport (later re-named the Talbot-Lago America) of 1955-59. After this, Simca took them over and closed production down. The poster who said it looked like a Jensen 541 is partly right. I have it on good authority from an eminent motoring journalist that the rear screen on the later cars was actually a unit (perspex) from the Jensen 541S. (I own a 541).




These cars were very expensive when new and only a few dozen were made, so well spotted!
