I don't think that a stock 12a fb can do more than 110 mph. I hit 105 on a flat road with no wind. It was stable but out of breath.
My old 280zx was fast. It had that crap 85 mph speedo, but the needle would peg much further on. Looking at the distance between 85 and the peg, I estimated 130, maybe more.

120mph on my 85..12a. down a straight stretch on a highway, backed off 6.5k rpm (5th gear it was still pulling), because i hit a little bump on the road and my car shook and scared the **** out of me..haven't tried since then.

i hit about 115 in my stock 84 racing and older nizzan z, you know the boxy looking ones that EVERYBODY gets the first gen rxs mixed up with. then accually just the other day in my avenger i hit about 135 racing a civic v-tech. dude was driving on the shoulder trying to catch up. it was fun till we came around a turn and there was a va state trooper in the median. needless to say we stopped it there cause doubling the speed limit with a suspended license= not smart.

roughly 1400 MPH - F-15D (incentive ride over Guam, march 2005)
146MPH - 2006 zx10r (it still had plenty left, but i didn't know the road)

only about 95mph in my 7 last time it was street legal, before the front body panels were torn off. Would have gone faster, but the U-joints are hosed and it had started to shake real bad once I got past 80. Didn't feel like throwing the prop shaft at triple digits.
Went 115 in my friends FB (not stock), that was a blast.
Fastest I've ever gone is about 150mph, in another friends heavily modified 87 Celica.
