What do you like/ hate most about your 1st gen??
I love huge thermal reactor fireballs on the highway, and everything else ablout these cars. The only dislike I have is that I love it so much I dont drive it in fear of vandalism, or an accident.
Likes:
The car mimics my personality. Everyhing about the car is who I am, and is why I've fallen in love with them. They are small, light and agile. They dont have the muscle some other cars do, but thats why I love them. The lack of guts becomes their greatest strength. The car is a revolution, no one knows what a Rotary really is or does. As myself, I'm just as unique as the car. The cars needed, requires attention and love. Alot like me too
Dislikes: Having them die, or one day just break down completely is like losing a family member or soul mate. The world is dim for several weeks. (Until you find another, chilling out in some 80 year old mans back yard)

hate the fact that when most magazines speak of legendary old school cars they almost never talk about the first gen. its soo forgotten to anyone that doesnt own one.
love the fact that if you can imagine it and have the skill or money you can do it to it. anything from V8 to 3rotor, ford 9'' rear to fc brake conversion that will then allow you to use FC big brake conversion. just think out the box.

But I wish they would mention out car a little more...
dislikes:
-lack of power
-poor handling
-choke
-open rear
-seat hurts my lower back
-red cloth interior (who the F chooses red CLOTH interior)
-steel hood (no aluminum option like 2nd gen)
likes:
-54k original miles
-choke (I feel special when I use it)
-small rims mean cheap tires
-exhaust sounds nice and sporty
-power windows on an 84
-power mirrors
-love the old school look (used to hate it but it had grown on me)

Dislike: I could not afford the car when it first came out ( the insurance was way too high for me during that time)
Like: I finally got the RX-7 that I always wanted... the 85 GSL-SE and it is in mint condition.

like: Keeping it stock
Hate: Keeping it stock
my car is mint. there are not many like it. The only real change that I wanted for it was to put the body kit and re-paint... but everybody tells me to keep it stock... desitions desitions...
