Seems our little beer kegs can't catch a break. Even as a lowly battery extender...

I'd rather they wait until they're serious about the Rx-9, aka Vision. This, coming from a guy that just bought a brand new CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve. For the record, I bought a Mazda6s V6 after test driving an Rx-8 when they were brand new and being unimpressed. I waited a long time to be unimpressed,

Indeed, I thought the MX30 with range extender would be nice. I really don't get the point of them without the extender, its range is 125 miles advertised.

can't help but wonder if the rage the rotary community had for this hybrid not being a pure gas burning ICE had an effect on this.

Yes, I fear the Rotary engine is dead for good! Just like the two stroke engine... RIP, enjoy them while you can!

@7aull and the counter, https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/rep...-are-not-true/

It appears that everyone is copy/pasting from the same single source. Why would Mazda announce it a couple months ago only to say just kidding? Why announce it at all? I'm new to bleeding edge automotive news so maybe this is commonplace.
