Hey guys I've been wondering if you can take the turbo out of a stock FB GSL SE 12a turbo and put it into an N /A 12a because lately ive been finding out that its really hard to find a good priced FI turbo setup for a Carbed 12a. So, is that possible? Can I take a turbo off of an FB savanah's engine and slap it on an N /A 12a?

 

The US FBs never came with a turbo. Are you thinking of the JDM 12A carbed turbo? If i remember correctly it was a 6 port 12A. The US 12A is 4 port.

 

For 1984-1985, the GSL-SE is a North American market, 13B 6 port EFI engine, the rest of the North America gets a 4 port 12A with a carb, so no you can't swap 12A to 13B....

the Japanese market got a 6 port 12A with a carb, and the Turbo 12A which is 4 port with a turbo

 

No turbo on any US delivered GSL-SE, ever.
