No question taking out the rat's nest and stripping the Nikki were the stupidest things I've done in my six years of driving 7's. I gave up on the stripped Nikki after a couple weeks and I finally got around to putting it back in a few weekends ago, what a difference.

Me and my friend in the 7 back in college a few years ago. Tried to go faster on my little togue road than I ever had before, at 3 am in the pitch black, Drunk.

At about 80mph I slide off the road sideways into a shallow ditch about 2 feet from a wall of large trees (this narrow *** road was famous for cars getting totalled on the trees). Seemed like there was no damage and we did the classic "drive dude drive" routine. It wasn't until I got home and got out to look at the car that my front air dam was just gone. We went back to the spot in my friends car and found it completely smashed in half. Rest of the car was fine.

With my old 88 prelude I blew the engine getting on an on ramp after drag racing my friend and doing e-brake slides in the Arrowhead Stadium parking lot (drove the car insanely hard thinking it was a honda and I "couldn't break it"). Didn't think I was in that bad of a neighborhood and it was getting dark so I decided to wait till the morning to get the car towed. Noon the next day I get a call from the cops telling me my car was broken into and had the stereo stolen and all 4 wheels stolen off of it (reasonably nice 5 spoke motegi). The next time I saw the lude, it was sitting in a pile of broken glass in an impound lot with the bottom of it completely smashed up from them just dumping it on the ground with no wheels on it.

Now I'm driving my moms old 88 accord because The engine on my 7 decided it wanted to blow up as I was driving it home from the shop (actually not totally my fault this time).

i have a friend that called me to come over and check out the 2nd gen he bought at auction.. it had a fairly clean body and interior, but it smoked really bad... it had bad oil seals or none at all!!! anyway i told him the motor needed a rebuild... he has the bright idea that he is going to drive it through his neiborhood and burn off the oil and the motor would be fine... (not believeing me) he takes off and i can hear him going through the neiborhood and coming back around he gets on the straightaway and nails it coming down hill and flies by us with all this horrific smoke bellowing out the back of the car and he is giving it all its got!!! then when he reaches the bottom of the hill we hear the tires skkwwwweeeeelllllingg and the motor shut off... so we take off to see what happened, and before we could get there the motor fired back up and took off ( smoked out so we never saw him)... he beat us back to the house and he told us the car had no breaks to slow-down at the turn on the bottom of the hill but it handlled the turn awsome until the 90 degree part of the turn!!! that is when he put it into the neibors yard right next to the porch!!!! he sold the car to a guy he knew for what he had in it and cut his loses....

Hmm, can't decide which is worse... I'll start with the protege. Did a 30 second long burnout hitting the fuel cutoff. TONS of smoke. I was going down a curvy road that I usually take about 70mph at the end, but the final turn is a downhill-and-to-the-right kind of thing. Well, I didn't want to brake til I hit 80, and once I hit it, it was too late. The turn came up and I slammed on the brakes. The car handled good, and would have gone through the corner... Had one of my front tires not locked up halfway through, sending me into a ditch and bending the frame support that holds up the transmission. Still drove her home @20mph

My old Buick I got for 500$, I would either drive slow in it or ***** to the wall. I got excited that I finally broke triple digits in it on the highway, so when I got home I decided to have some fun. Car ran like crap anyways, so I took the exhaust off and left the manifolds on. That thing was LOUD! Anyways, plenty of cold cranks then redlines later, I took my friend down the road to let him hear it. Put it in neutral, coasted to the stop sign (my parents hated the car) and started her up. Neutral bombed it into drive, got all the way up in first gear, and never shifted. BAM! Fluids started draining from the engine bay. sold it for 75$.

Overdrifted a miata before. Very stupid and embarassing...

Stupid choice 1: I let my ex-grilfriend drive my 83 RX-7.... granted I did buy it from her originaly but she was all a wreck and upset cuz she lost her job that day.

Stupid Choice 2: I didn't make sure she was wearing her seat belt.

Stupid Choice 3: She drove through a shopping mall parking lot and she hit one of those HUGE 2 ft tall 5 ft wide speed bumps at 55 MPH. (Neither of us saw the speed bump)

Outcome: Car launches in the air, She drops her cigaret, I hit my head on the cieling and she ended up slightly landing in my lap. She hits the car out of gear when landing ontop of me. I pusjh her back over to her side and rip the e-brake and she hits the brakes.

Conclusion: Don't let upset ex-girlfriends drive!

I was drifting a gravel turn I had drifted tons of times, probably a hundred times before, decided I was going to initial D it up and went in to fast, decided I'd just get it more sideways to compensate and spun it into a very small ditch. No damage done, but when I had to phone my brother to help me tow it out I was very embarassed.

Did I mention it wasn't even my car? it was my grandmas car. The worst feeling in the world is to **** up doing something foolish in someone else's car.

Well for starters, I'm a trucker, and when I first started driving the big rigs last year, I was always given the late runs from Ontario to Illinois. I was also stupid enough to try to stay up all day and then drive all night. It took waking up in the middle lane when I remembered being in the right lane to make me stop and nap when I need to. Thank god no one was in that lane when I did it.

Sitting on the Detroit/Windsor bridge, the line was not moving at all, and I put my head down on the wheel but didn't pull the airbrakes. Woke up when I hit the trailer in front of me. No damage except a busted grill piece, and that kept me up the rest of the night.

Years ago I had an 88 Civic hatch. Fun little car. was drifiting it in the snow around a school that had a paved oval around it, held the E-brake too long and slid directly sideways into the curb. Bent both rims and I swear the drivers side went at least 2 feet into the air. Oddly enough it was my car and one of the guys with me was giving me ****, and I was laughing my *** off. I love beaters.

In my 7, last November, I was in a not so good mood, and floored it off a red light on a left turn. Drifted the corner, but held it too long and started heading towards the oncoming traffic, lifted the throttle but too fast, and discovered the wonderful snap oversteer. Slid at a 45 degree angle, facing the wrong way into the curb. Fortunatly I still had the wheel turned so the front just hopped the curb, but the back end slammed right into it, denting the hell out of my rim (which was later stolen along with the other 3) and bending the axle at the hub. Drove away as if nothing had happened. The car then went to a shop to get that fixed, where it was promptly keyed. All because I was pissed off on a slick road. I can still envision the headlights of all the cars I would have hit. I don't try to drift anymore.

I spun it 7 times and went sideways through 2 concrete barriers, and then slid down a ditch.

I got teh car towed out of the ditch via mu buddies subaru impreza. I had aparently rolled the tire off the rim cornering so hard on those peice of **** tires. I put the spare on teh car, and drove it home. Next day I limped it to school. I dismounted the tire I rolled half off the rim. Bent the rim back into shape with a pipe wrench. Remounted the old tire, put it on the car. Patched the car up a bit. And then went racing again next weekend. (This was not street racing)

a buddy let me drive his 85 camry cause i used to have one. he wanted to know how to do a reverse do nut. after i showed him i had the brite idea of going really fast and ripping the e brake while turning . i for some reason allso used the brakes to. the front right tire came off the rim (taking a left turn.) the rimed ground down broke so i grinding the brake rotor. i then helped the kid put the spare on the car cause he was crying his mom was going to hit him . on his way how i guess he hit the breaks at 80 mph and the rim came off he didnt put the lugs on right.

my car 94 crown vic. when to a buddys moms house to get some free rims and tires mine were junk. we drifted around all the streets we where out in the stick in nh. on the way back home i was doing 50 on a on ramp the back end was screaming alot of tire smoke ect. my buddy drank a case of beer that day and was pretty out of it i didnt drink by the way. about 2 miles down rt2 my front left ball joint let go. it was only 2 lanes at this point and some how i didnt crash with all the sparks and all . i blew a break line and had no breaks. the only thinking stopping me was my car grind on the wake up strip. then spent 20 mins pull my buddy out fo the road when mack trucks were comming . this was 2 am by that point.

How about wrapping the 90 MPH speedometer around to 0 in my GLC? (There was no one else on the road.) That was pretty bad, especially given my iffy tires.

Worse, though, was a few months ago, also in the GLC. I was getting hardcore tailgated by some idiot in an Accord on a semi-residential road going around 35. I was in a foul mood at the time, so I let off the gas and let myself slow way down. Now, the road slopes downward somewhat sharply a bit ahead. As we approach the point where the road slopes away, the Accord driver tries to pass me, crossing a double-yellow. He gets up beside me and like an moron I downshift and floor it. We crest the hill, and a car going up in the opposite direction about 50 feet ahead of the Accord comes into view. We're probably both doing 45 at this point, and the other car probably 35; at a combined 80 MPH, 50 feet closes awfully fast. I'm half a car-length or so ahead of the Accord, so I just keep flooring it and hoping the Accord driver has quick reflexes. I see the noses of both the Accord and the other car drop, and the Accord driver manages to get behind me just in time.

What made me really angry was that afterwards, the Accord driver kept riding my bumper closer than he had been before! I turned off onto a side road a couple of blocks later to let him pass.

The moral is, road rage is dumb and stupid, and you should never let yourself give in to it.

im in the miltary and was sent somewere for 8 months. i came back with tons of money to the states and my 84 GSL-SE. started buying parts from racing beat and had my engine street ported. i went from FI to carb because all that i have ever been exposed to was carb powered 1st gens. at the same time i have always fantisied about owning a perfect running stock FD and wound up buying an automatic, ugly bodykit, flat black rims having peice of **** FD for 13k on top of my racing beat parts and engine work on my GSL-SE. i got all my parts in for my first gen and let them sit in the car and drove in this ricer looking *** FD. after 6 months and a loss to a jetta and a hona prelude i sold back the FD to the same dealer i bought it from for half of what i bought it for.

so this is the list of worst things i have ever done:
-went from fuel injection to carb
-wasted money making my 1st gen N/A and not even a super N/A
-didnt do enough research to know that for 13k i could of had one of the nastiest turbo first gens around
-bought an automatic FD
-discraced RX-7's by buying an FD that look like some cheap as low budget honda project
-sold it back for a price that probably cant get you a decent non running FD
...theres more but sitting here and thinking about that dark part of my life is seriously making my eyes water.

on the brighter side i have since been stationed in japan and came across a running 20b FC conversion for cheaper than i bought that FD for......now i have to figure out how im going to take the engine and everything i need to do my own swap in the states and not F&@!k that up!!!
