whats the stupidest thing you have ever done in your 7...or any car?

I was driving 140+ in my 96 Impala SS (with a 383, Lingenfelter heads, vortech supercharger, and full borla exhaust) and hit a deer dead on.


Went in the ditch, and crashed into the side of a mountain. My 7th and 8th vertabrae are fused together because of it.

Took a turn a little too fast after the rain in my '67 Fastback and spun completely across the road, causing an elderly man carrying groceries to drop his bags and run off the sidewalk. I ended up sliding parallel into the curb and stopping, but being the stupid kid that I was I got scared and just took off on my way home, ignoring the man I had almost killed. Stupid, stupid, stupid...

i built up a 350 and threw it into a 83 chevy caprice.i went 120+ in the boat down a main street just out of town at 2am. i hit a pot hole and it sent the damn thing spinning. when i came to a stop i was turned around looking back at where i had been. there was my rear end laying on the ground with a nice little fire coming my way. i got out and about 5 mins later when the fire trucks and stuff were coming down the road, my car went booom! i'm luckey i was just outside of town when ithe car did that.

i broke my arm in 2 spots. fractured a leg and broke my colar bone. o well i'm fine now and i bought that caprice for $100 and was testing my work. i had a buyer for the car at $3000. i was 16 and very stupid.

Just a couple of weeks ago I passed a guy in my FB on the inside of a 90 degree cureve. Hinde sight says that was kinda dumb.

Not in my 7, but...

had a girl... um... doing stuff in my car as we drove down the hoghway. Because she was leaving so far over the centre console from the passenger seat, the automatic shifter (I know, I know... it was my 1st car) caught between her ***** and went from D to R.

Not a good thing at 110 kph.

Was trying to drift my '91 rx7 into a sharp turn with bold tires on a two way road. Started fishing really hard from side to side, ended up leaving the car in gear and stopping it at a 100 degree angle right before hitting the wall and in between two poles.

2:00 a.m. June 1990, coming back from my 3 day bachelor party in Ocean City Md. I was driving my new CRX-si west on Rt.50. I was cruising around 65mph when a car comes up on my rear end and tailgates me..No one else on the road. I slow down a little, the car stays right on my rear for like a mile or so.. He finally pulls to the left lane and passes me like a bat out of hell (Ford Mustang). I get royally pissed and floor the CRX and catch up to his rear, back off and pass his ***. The lights and sirens came on immediately (unmarked cruiser). This guy threw the book at me for every charge he possibly could. My friend who was passed out in the passenger seat was thrown in jail as well. Cost $1,500 to post bail and subsequent legal and court fees over $5,000. All 1 week before getting married. Dumb, dumb, dumb.. (only bright side was I had to sell the CRX to help pay the fees, and bought my first 81 Rx-7 for $500 as a replacement!)

No accidents, but a few close calls...

I do more stupid stuff on my dirtbike when Im away from other people out in the woods than I do on public roads in a car. I figure, I would rather die before killing someone else.

Although, I have driven my car fast 120+ MPH a few times late at night, deserted highway (I-90 carpool lanes to be exact ), etc, and Im lucky as hell nothing went wrong. I dont do **** like that anymore, its way too stupid .

The dumbest thing....
I was just learning to drive my fb stick, and comming up to a stop light in the main street of a town that likes streetracing...
A pretty much stock civic pulls up next to me, looking over with that "wanna go" kind of look. And of course I am like um no I'm not that frigging stupid...
The light turns green, the civic takes off, and I stall, realizing just a BIT too late, that I'm in 3rd gear.

I took off down an alley because of my ebarresment, only to find that that's the direction the guy was going anyway-

was working on his street miata and went to get the phone with the car in neutral. the car rolled out of his garage, down his driveway, flattened his mailbox, kept going across the street, hit one of those gray boxes and knocked out the power in his entire neighborhood. and the car was pretty bent up.


and then this other guy fit 6 people in an FB.

road called "snake". theres a guy im decently good friends with that drives a 93 civic hatch with a si motor in it. he made a comment to one of my friends at an autox that he could "go faster". after the autox, we had a cook out at a friends house. later that day we ran out of **** to do, so i wanted to get my friend (tony) to run snake with me so i could prove he couldnt keep up with me. we head over there and i get him right as hes pulling out. he agrees to come with me (this is all in fun, no hate between me and him). we head over to the road, pull into a park and decide what we are going to do (5 other cars behind us) we start to head down the road, and the first 3 turns hes still on my *** to my amazement. i start hauling *** faster than usual. turns i was taking at 60-65 were up'd 10mph. my car was starting to feel a little squirly until i came around this one long corner. i was doing 70ish when my car started to slide all four wheels. i see the center line getting closer to the center of the car when i notice theres another car coming in the other lane. i dont know how, but i got my car back in my lane, didnt think about it, and kept going. theres a straight that i usually dont top out on because of fear of a cop sitting there, but i hit 90mph and theres a ~30mph turn right after. it was the fastest ive ever been on that road, and it was the last time ive even gone on it. thing that sucked the most, was i had my friend paul in the car. i felt like a jackass for putting him in that position. if i crash and its my fault, im the only person hurt, my fault, oh well. if i crash and hurt someone else, i would feel sooooo bad. i took that as a big wake up call. i only race and haul *** at the autox and drag strip now. it gave me a big slap in the face. im glad it was that and not my hitting a tree, or worse, someone else.

Yeah... I tried to swap my 12A into a 1996 Toyota Corolla... I was gonna make it rear mount too... Didn't have any tools, and was kinda weaving in and out of traffic at the time... So I just kinda plowed the front end of my RX-7 into the trunk of the Corolla. I thought the better of it part way through the endevour, but it was too late and I locke dup all four wheels and slid it sideways... Hey! Transverse mount.

Try neutral bombing an Isuzu NPR 7 ton Box truck... If it's empty and the ground it wet enough, those Duallies will smoke out a stadium... Or you get a connecting rod in the ***... I was lucky.

funney u should ask.. im 16 dont have a license and have a fairly fast rx... me and my buddy were crusin a lil while ago and i ****** went through a tight turn goin bout 30 and spun out of control and amost hit a fence. my buddy **** his pants and it smelt bad...

took a 90 degree turn too fast on a wet road, the car fishtailed, and i recovered it, but ove compensated. The car did a 180 after the first fishtail, and i ended up in the right lame, facing the wrong way, 6 inches from the car. After the initial fish tail, my rumper rubbed another car. No damjage to the 7, but a fine red line on the focus lol.
