So I went to the Mazda dealership the other week...

... and ordered in two of these. Last ones ever to be sold, found sitting in Mazda's Toronto warehouse. Anyone want to guess what I got?

I don't know what the exchange rate with the US dollar is atm but you might be able to get 800 for the pair. Nice score.

But seriously, I sure could use a pair of those right about now. Let me know if you want to sell them Sgt. Fox.

I would think twice about using them. Id keep those boxes and display them somewhere. Might be worth something some day.

I spy with my little eye, ReSpeed steering! It is nice to see it with nothing really in the way.

Went to Mazda the other day and nagged him on finding some housings. There are zero left for 12a's, but apparently there are 9 13b's available. The 13b's were the old schools to 85. He couldn't find the years on the housings. I wish he could order them all so i can pick out the old school housings

Just some FYI

Have heard that a shop in Seattle has 2 or 3 sets of SA housings available for about a $800-1K a set.

Things could get sticky for us all in some 5+ yrs when these will be needed for future builds

I have stashed a couple of NOS sets away for a rainy day... nice find Sarge!

And we wonder why people are putting V8's into Rx7s now?? I love the rotary as much as anyone, but I think it's pretty obvious after viewing this thread......

I just don't understand why someone hasn't developed a rechroming / replating process to allow you to reuse old housings. I guess there just isn't a market for it....

Yes, but if I understand their process, they still need a housing that's already good enough to use in a rebuild to coat.
