So I went to the Mazda dealership the other week...
I cant say whats acceptable and unacceptable for a rebuild as I havent done it, but it says it can repair wear up to the steel liner.

It's true, doesnt seem very cost effective at the moment but someday used housings are gonna get real expensive

We should break into Mazda headquarters....steal the housings diagrams...and then force someone to make duplicates....or else...or else....

There was a fire at Mazda's Hiroshima casting plant a few years back. After that they concentrated on making only housings for the RX8. I don't know if the equipment for the earlier housings was destroyed or not but I was left with that impression.
