She's gone!! My 1980 SA22.... traded for something equally cool...or cooler.........

Well I finally moved on from the Black SA-22! She was a good car and brought fun to my life, but it was time to move on to another project.
I am either in the middle of a project, finishing a project, or looking for another project...

I placed an ad in craigslist "barter" section to trade for something cool....

I had a guy say you want something cool???? He had a Antique Russian Sidecar Motorcycle... I thought... that is cool!!! Well we made the trade am I am very happy.

He needed a car for his son.... I wanted something else to play with!! Deal is done!!

Oh... I still have my other RX-7... "project cheap autocrosser"

I put 600KM on it the first weekend!! I am so sore from riding and riding... the looks and comments you get are pretty cool to!

I will still be here... just 1 instead of 2 RX-7's..

wow that is cool, I don't know you but was going to give ya heck for getting rid of a black SA, but how often would you have a chance to score a bike sidecar combo like that?

Finding antique Russian parts ought to be enough to keep you project-ing for a while.

Love the "pintle hook" rear passenger grip.

Wow, you had me scared there for a minute Old School. Thought you were talking about the silver car.

That is totally cool, the three wheels is great for us Old Guys. Is that a Wankel I see in there? Those Ruskies were into some pretty cool science back then.

What year is it??

1960's vintage... the design is a 1930's BMW. BMW R-75 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_R75

You know the Ruskies never changed anything, so that is why it looks so crazy old.

Divindiver.... thank God for ebay... there is a lot of parts there for it.

Ray.... I thought about installing a 12a!! That would be cool... maybe a project for another sidecar bike in the future!! That is a 2 cylinder boxer engine with dual carbs.....

I am glad you guys are not beating me up too much about trading her... She just sat in the garage and the new owner just LOVES it.... what more can I ask for??

My Silver RX-7 will keep me satisfied for a long time.

Forum member Hecubus84 may be a valuable resource for you now. He is heavily into old bikes (not sure about Ruskies though) and might be able to assist with advice/parts. I'd shoot him a PM and see what he knows.

Enjoy the new toy!

Why's it got a German flag on it though?

That would be East Germany. There used to be a thing called the Berlin Wall.

I like the bike Old School but that Black SA is pretty nice too.

Just to confuse people!!! Actually it is a German copy.... a 1930's BMW R-71

I actually put the "D" sticker on the back and the German flag on it because of my heritage..

Makes sense, was wondering if it had a special significance.
