Shaved side markers?
Has anyone shaved the side markers? My project is going molding-less and I want to shave the side markers. basically weld them up and body fill them smooth. Has anyone done this? Curious how it looks. Im looking to make subtle changes to the exterior.

If it's an '81 +, using the '79-'80 side marker LENSES gains you about 3/16"/

If you do that (or if you don't) you can enhance the markers with LED LICENSE PLATE BOLTS hooked into the housings by drilling a 1/4" hole in the back of the housing. Wire into the turn signal circuit and you have side turn signal lights for those that like to ride in the adjacent lane at about your rear bumper line and can't see your front OR rear turn signals, and of course, you can't see them!
.
Use AMBER colored LED's (AMBER & RED if applicable).

Measure twice or three times, (cut or drill) once!
