shaved emblems

When I bought my 85, It had shaved emblems.
Somebody went out of there way to fill all the holes during a nice orig color repaint.
I would like to reinstall the emblems! I know they are hard to find now. What do you think?

I'd leave it alone. Or find somebody good with a brush to paint 'em on. I had a friend that did that for me 25 years ago, it looked great. He's no longer with us. Old school is getting scarce.

Most emblems are easy to find; they're just hard to pay for.

My car too has shaved emblems which is nice as I can pick and choose what emblems I want on there. If I do decide to put emblems on, I will just shave down the pins and attach with some 3M automotive tape.

This is the solution. otherwise you'd need to drill the chassis. Yikes!

I used to envy the shaved body guys - now I'm all about rocking the OG stylez yo!

For the FB anyways - WRX wagon is another story, shaved all the way.

One thing you can do if you don't want to re drill the holes is cut the pins off the back and double stick tape them on.

Do the 3M tape on the back of a flat badge. The only thing I'll ever drill into my car for is going to be my 3-piece spoiler

Like everyone else said, the emblems are still available from Mazda, but they aren't cheap (not overly expensive though). 3m tape is probably the way to go...
