Somebody's been busy with the paint. Get that thing put together so we can go outside and play!

so i finally installed my respeed rear coilovers and for some reason theyre noisy as if theyre loose and dont have any weight on them. I checked to see if the springs were sitting properly and everything looked fine. This cant be normal. Any thoughts of what i can do?

That's strange. The only noise I get from my rear end (no, not that rear end) is from the heim joints in the sway bar end links.

I have no idea why you'd be getting noise, but could it be from something else that was tampered with during the installation?

I'd check with Billy and see if he has any ideas. If you haven't checked out http://www.iwankel.com/ yet, take a look (his new site). Easiest place to get ahold of him.

One idea, when the car is on the ground (or on ramps), can you reach in there and see if the spring assembly has weight on it? I'm wondering if maybe the shocks are bottomed out.

Good luck....

I've got a bit of noise too, and I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't have removed the rubber isolators from the tops of the stock springs and put them back in between the perch and the body.....

I've driven mine a couple times, though not very far, and have heard no noise from the rear even after driving with the shocks at full stiff and pounding through a really bad parking lot.

Never really notice "noise" before. They are a pretty simple assembly really. Not much to go wrong with them. Some use the rubber isolator at the top, I never have.

Kentetsu has a point check to make sure the shocks are not bottomed out. I imagine if they were you would know it. You would not have a spring rate. It would solid as solid could be.

With the car on the ground, grab the spring and see if you can move it around.

I guess also check to make sure you are not sitting on the bump stops.
