S2 and S3 Cruise Control Parts Interchangeability

Hello all!
I have an issue that has raised two big questions for all the cruise control gurus out there. The cruise control actuator motor (the cylinder on the passenger-side firewall) on my 83 GSL has had the plastic vacuum nipple broken off, and the line plugged with a screw. My first question is are the actuator motors for the S2s (81-83) the same as the S3s (84-85) or are they different in some way? Mine is so corroded that I can't make out the part number, and my Google searching has yielded no results for the 83 part number, or whether or not its the same as the 84-85.

In a similar vein, I have the same question about the combination switches. The S2 switch I have looks very similar to the S3 switch but I can't tell. In this case my switch works but its cracked and the markings are wearing off and I'm thinking of sourcing a replacement.

Cheers all! I hope y'all can help me get this all sorted!

I got an S2 and I'm pretty sure that they are interchangeable. The combo switch you can use it on a S2 or a S3.

I was looking to see if I still had laying around the cruise control module that I took off my 82 but I don't see it🤔

Well if the parts are interchangeable I may have a buddy who has one from a GSL-SE I can put in my car and hopefully get the system working. I'm willing to give a test on a long, open road to see if it'll function. I'll let you know what happens.

The cruise control actuator on a GSL-SE is different than on a 12A car. The combination wiper/cruise switch should be the same between an S2 up to an SE. The cruise control power switch is physically different between the S2 and S3.
