A buddy and I spent hours in the garage wet sanding and buffing the RX-8, trying to bring back a nice shine to the paint. I think it came back well and the paint looks beautiful and bright once again! Here are a few pics from when we buffed the car:

Our RX-8 friends made the four hour drive up here on Saturday and my wife and I went out with them for the day. We had a lot of fun in the RX-8! Wish I took more pics. I have to say it was nice getting to cruise with another RX-8 and even better with our friends Mike and Wendy! Here are a few from Saturday:
On our way to dinner in my 8:

After dinner we went to a few stores and did some shopping and I took a couple pics of our 8's together:

After hitting a few stores we decided to go out to Applebees for half price appetizers:

Looking good Dave! Lots of hard work and it shows!
I guess you haven't been working on the red car? I sent you a link to some nice steelies in case you were looking for replacements.
Anyhoo, the 8 looks awesome!

Nice!
I've thought of picking up an 8 for a daily around here, haven't decided yet though. It's either that or a pickup - staying rotary would be much more fun.

Just saw the message. I appreciate the link! I'll talk to my customer and see what she wants to do. I haven't made much progress on the car due to the weather. Now that its warming up I'm going to get back to work on the car and see what the compression looks like. I still need a gas tank. I have a spare 12A that I can toss in if need be. The rust work is going to be the killer as far as cost goes for her. The car is rotten but she wants to do whatever it takes to save it. I'll do everything in my power to save the car.

Took the car out yesterday when I met my wife for lunch:

Got home and snapped a couple pics of the car with my RX-7:

Then I saw a package at the front door and low and behold it was the bra I ordered for the car. Figured that it would be nice to have for a long road trip should I ever decide to take one. Would help to keep the paint from getting chipped up on a long trip:

Yesterday I installed a set of brand new OEM fog lights and the fog light switch. Ordered the kit and it went together perfectly. I am very pleased with the results.
Started by removing the front bumper:

Once it was out, I removed the left side pocket and then installed the fog lights:

I'm happy with how it turned out:

Filled the gas tank up yesterday and then went and bought the oil for the oil change:

Got the car back home in the garage and changed the oil:

Once I was finished changing the oil I washed the car and put is back in the garage:

Decided to wash my Stone Grey 944 as well. Its in the garage with the RX-8 currently as I have quite a bit to do to it before I drive it:
