Question on ORIGINAL SA coloring... Grille?

OK, for you folks holding SA's in original trim... what color is the grille?

Is it flat black?
Glossy black?
Some other plastic color?

Thanks!

Did I say "overshot?" More like, it got painted when the car was done.

Luckily, it's molded from some pretty rugged stuff; the plastic ignores paint remover if you don't leave it on too long. Which is more than I can say for my nitrile shop gloves - - the stripper went thru them like Mongols through Poland.

Finished product after two evenings of working with stripper, and then a little silicone bath:

That piece is tuff as nails....I think that grill and cockroaches would survive a nuclear blast!

I sanded the one on my autocross car because the PO painted it silver. I used a rattlecan of satin black to fix her up.

Luckily the one on my SA22 has never been touched..

Yeah, but WE know they are there... Like my meticulously painted carb parts, which are completely invisible unless you take the air cleaner off...
